Nail Fungal Disease

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

If you have had or currently have nail fungus you will be conscious of how awkward it can be and that it may infect both finger and toe nails.  A nail fungal infection is caused by the fungi getting under your nail bed through a slit or scratch in the skin. Thus results in the nail becoming discolored, thickening, developing crumbling edges, the surface of it becomes rough and without shine and then it begins to loosen from the nail bed.

As soon as you have recognized that you have nail fungus you must treat it, as the more time it is left untreated the worse it becomes, because it feeds of your skin and nails. The good news is that there are a variety of methods which you can use to treat it.

Before I discuss the treatment options, I would strongly urge you to make sure you bear in mind the ingredients that are included in the therapy you choose. Some treatments can be full of chemicals which in my opinion, although they treat the nail fungus, can be unsafe to the body. Zetaclear nail fungus remedy, is a natural approach to treating nail fungus, and henceforth can avoid nasty side effects.

Some people advise removing the nail which is infected but this will only offer a short term solution as you are not killing the fungus and as soon as the nail grows back so will the fungus. It is necessary to think about other people and treat nail fungus as soon as possible, since it is highly contagious when you leave it untreated you put others in danger and also you risk it spreading to other areas of your body.

To treat a nail fungus infection you could use both topical and oral medications, but the problem with these is that they can take a lot of time to alleviate the infection, from 6 to 12 weeks. Your doctor may also advise you to have the nail removed or in some cases photodynamic treatment is used this involves using a laser to treat the infection.

Although these treatments may be effective they often do not kill the fungus, rather they treat the symptoms and in some cases may have bad side effects. As a result you ideally need to be using a natural product that works from the inside out, and kills the fungus, by increasing your natural anti-inflammatory and infection fighting capabilities, in order that you can fight the nail fungus without experiencing bad side effects.

The best way to do this is by using natural oils, such as tea tree oil, which has been noted for having many healing properties including curing nail fungus and when used with other botanical ingredients it will assist you to cure your nail fungus quickly.
